Club Coaches

Our club coaches work closely with our executive and our program assistants from our Starskate Program. Each coach has a primary area of care as listed below. All coaches are available for private lessons as well.
 
Private lessons are the result of parents engaging a professional coach (Club professional or a freelance coach) to provide one-on-one, semi-private or small group instruction in freestyle, skating skills and dance in addition to your club provided group lessons. A private lesson usually lasts 15 minutes and may cost on average between $7 - $10. The number of private lessons to be taken weekly may be recommended by the coach, but is ultimately determined by the parents. The Club has no responsibility for any arrangements regarding private lessons, or for any issues arising among the parties involved.

PRIVATE LESSONS

Canskate: private lessons may be arranged with the coach of your choosing as available.  Lessons from our Group Canskate Coaches would need to take place during another session time. You can be on a non-canskate session for the length of your lesson only.  You may also contact non-Canskate Group Coaches to have private lesson time during Canskate Sessions space permitting. Private lessons are based on availability of coaches.

Jumpstart & Juniors: Private lessons taking place during the Jumpstart or Junior Group - Skaters may come and go during Group if in a private lesson however must not disrupt the group. Skaters may also go on non-registered starskate ice times for the length of their lesson time only.

Intermediate & Seniors: The arrangement of a private lesson coach at the intermediate & senior level is strongly encouraged for development, assessment opportunities, and for competition.
